Gemfields Wind Farm

Gemfields Wind Farm is located approximately 150km north of Hughenden. It is in the Flinders Shire, Etheridge Shire and Charters Towers Regional Councils LGAs. It is on the Country of the Ngawun Mbara, Gudjala, Kurjala and Jirandali Peoples - we respect and recognsise their continuing connection to, and care of, Country.

  • The studies required for development approvals and the grid connection have commenced

  • An equivalent of up to 1,000,000 homes will be powered per year with clean energy

  • Up to 200 WTG will be installed with a generation capacity of up to 1,200 MW

  • The development footprint is approximately 650 ha including external road upgrades and has three host landowners.
