Kākāriki has progressed a large portfolio of strategically positioned projects with a mix of deliverable technologies in key regions where new generation is needed
Phase 2
Kākāriki’s medium to long term vision includes integrating other technologies into the NZ energy market and the portfolio
These include alternative long duration storage such as iron air batteries, green hydrogen and e-fuels production, biomass power plants, green gas peakers and supercapacitor and other grid enabling technologies
Pipeline
Kākāriki continues to identify and evaluate opportunities to expand the portfolio of generation and storage projects. Kākāriki has a diversified and strong pipeline of additional wind, solar and storage projects which are aligned with the overall vision and strategy.
