Brett has worked for over 30 years in oil, gas and renewables businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the Netherlands with Shell and Todd Energy. He has been developing NZ’spremier energy consultancy Elemental Group and most recently has been focusing on the Kākāriki development portfolio with Energy Estate.

His broad experience spans project management, construction supervision, environmental decision making for the EPA, energy sales and offtake agreements, government negotiations, farm-ins, asset sales, financial analysis, economics and joint venture management.

Brett studied as an engineer at Auckland University and completed his Master of Business Administration from Deakin University. He is a member of the Institute of Directors and Chair of the SPE NZ Education Trust.
